We will be focusing on

Discovery

In our Discover Center, we get hands on learning with math, science, and stem activities. Our themes change weekly to incorporate a variety of challenges and hands on experiences teaching these skills.

Literacy
Our ABC Center is always lots of fun. We learn to recognize and write our full name. In both 2 day and 3 day a week classes we learn our friend's names, Sight words from Davis School District's Zeno words, and incorporate all types of literacy tools. Learning our letters and spelling out words is always lots of fun in this center.

Reading

Our Reading Center is always popular. Reading is a big deal here at Cove Kids Preschool- and we read a lot of books. Our books in our library change with our theme's and our preschooler's love exploring all the new titles with our reading buddies.

Art and Building
Our Art and Block center is always open for kids who want to build those skills. Building and creating not only fosters learning, but can be a great teaching tool as the activities go along with our weekly themes. . We love Creating here and displaying our works with pride.

Sensory
“Play is often talked about as if it was a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.” Mr. Rogers.
The sensory table is a staple in our classroom and a place where some of the best learning occurs. This Center encourages the development of fine motor skills, spacial awareness and working together.

Dramatic Play The Pretend center is a place students can go to pretend, imagine, and be creative. Students can pretend to be anyone and do anything! That is powerful for our little learners. It is a place that promotes high level thinking, problem solving, turn taking, and is rich in vocabulary. Students can learn and develop skills in all learning domains (language, literacy, math, science, social studies, fine motor, gross motor, and social skills) through pretend play.

Spanish

During our circle time I teach the kids basic Spanish. We learn through songs, movement, and repetition. Once we've mastered words- we continue to use them throughout the school year so that it's able to stick with our kids!

Social

Preschool is all about learning those important social skills, getting us ready for kindergarten. Following directions, taking turns, and using kind words (even if we're not feeling kind). Learning how to handle our emotions, and using our words to discuss our feelings is focused on through out the year. We've had a lot of success implementing Red and Green choices in our classroom

We study letters, their phonics, number, shapes and colors on weekly themed basis.  Each month we cover exciting learning themes and our centers follow that theme. A lot of this learning is done with songs and dances. I've found that the kids are able to retain the things they learn through this method. A yearly and monthly calendar will be given to all our students so they can follow along at home as well!

There is a one time registration fee of $40

Tuition is $135 a month for 2.5 hours a day- 3 days a week.
.
$95 for 2.25 hours a day- 2 days a week.

What others are saying:

"'Miss Tiff' is amazing. My little girl is such a free spirit and all over the place. I really needed someone who would be consistent but loving with her. She absolutely loved going to school and loved her miss Tiff! I would recommend her to everyone. I can't think of one negative thing to say about her and I was so sad at the end of the year when we had to say bye."
-Hailey B.

"
Tiffany is an amazing teacher! She is always coming up with the best activities and lessons! She really cares about each child and their individual needs. I was in a position to volunteer with her quite often and was able to see just how patient and kind she was even with kids that may have been a struggle for another teacher. She loves to get down at their level and really connect with them. She throughly enjoys children and all of their uniqueness. She was always telling me the cute things my daughter in her class did/said- and I loved that."
-Kayla S.

Ms Tiff is amazing. My little guy is full of life, if you know what I mean, and she has been so great with him! He comes home so excited to tell me all they learned and is using Spanish everywhere. We are so sad he has to start Kindergarten next year and we won’t get another year with Cove Kids
-Kelli G.

My daughter learned so much from her class and she was always excited to attend. Tiffany makes the class very fun and she made my daughter feel so welcome and comfortable.
